Blue-green algae warning removed for Tullaroop Reservoir

Goulburn Murray Water (GMW) has removed the blue-green algae warning for Tullaroop Reservoir near Maryborough, following a significant decline in blue-green algae levels.

GMW will continue to undertake water quality monitoring and if blue‑green algae reach levels deemed unsafe by national health guidelines, a warning will be issued.

Customers are reminded that water supplied by GMW is not suitable for human consumption without first being properly treated.

Warnings remain current for Yarrawonga Weir/Lake Mulwala, Lake Eppalock, Turner Island East Backwater near Kirwans Bridge and selected locations in the Torrumbarry Irrigation Area.
