In northern Victoria, water availability can change quickly—sometimes from one season to the next. That’s why being prepared isn’t just a good idea—it’s essential.
Dry conditions are a normal part of Northern Victoria’s climate. Preparedness is a shared responsibility. GMW, our partners, and our customers all play a role in monitoring conditions, planning for the season ahead, and responding to changes in water availability.
Below you will find links to a range of tools and resources designed to support our customers and communities throughout changing seasonal conditions.

Being prepared matters. It means we can respond to dry periods, wet years, and everything in between. It helps protect water users, supports local industries, and ensures our environment stays healthy. By planning ahead, we reduce risks and keep water systems viable, no matter the conditions.
