GMW is conducting routine maintenance works on the cone valve and downstream water course at Lake Eppalock.
The valve is used to meet downstream demands by releasing water from the lake into the Campaspe River.
While the maintenance works are underway, the same amount of water that is scheduled to be released from the valve, will be syphoned over Lake Eppalock Spillway. This will ensure water deliveries are not impacted by the maintenance works.
Lake Eppalock Spillway Reserve is currently closed to the public for upgrade works and will remain closed during the cone valve maintenance works.
Works on the valve and downstream water course are expected to start on Tuesday 20 February 2024 and take about four weeks to complete.
