New Look and Features
G-MW encourages all customers to use the internet for ordering and managing their water using WaterLINE online (i.e. via the internet).
WaterLINE online has been redesigned to be more user friendly and give customers an easy step by step process for ordering water. The color scheme has been changed along with some functionality. To see the difference and benefits log on to WaterLINE online.
WaterLINE online is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. WaterLINE - Online now offers customers additional functions such as meter read entry, a facility enabling customers to more actively manage their water accounts and generate current statements and the ability to leave messages for GMW planners via the internet.
Telephone Number Change
All customers will now contact WaterLINE using one common phone number - 1300 469 469, (i.e. 1300 GMW GMW), for the cost of a local call from anywhere in Australia.
User ID Number Change
G-MW has upgraded WaterLINE to give customers access to more features. To access the new system you will need to enter a new 7 digit User Number. It's easy! Just add the relevant 2 digits corresponding to your area from the table below, to the start of your old User Number.
WaterLINE telephone ordering:
Customers dial the new 1300 469 469 (1300 GMW GMW) telephone number.
After the welcome message a prompt will request User Number and Personal Identification Number (PIN).
The main menu functions will then be listed.
From the main menu customers can choose to:
- Enter an order
- Find out start times
- Speak to a G-MW planner
- Leave a message for a G-MW planner
- Use special functions (to change PIN; enter special orders; find out entitlement details)
- Speak to an operator
- End the call
Once an option has been selected, prompts will be given.

Required Notice for Ordering Water
In systems that have not been fully modernized four days notice is required for each water order placed. This enables planning to improve channel supply efficiency and reduces system losses and the number of adjustments required at regulators.
It is important to remember that the day that an order is placed is not counted as part of the four days notice, so there is no difference between placing an order at 7.00 am or 11.00 pm on the same day.
If customers want water on a Friday, then they need to order before midnight on the preceding Monday.
Think of it as ordering water for three days after tomorrow.
Priority is given to orders placed with the correct notice.
Its important to remember that 4 days notice is required.
