GMW podcast goes with the flow

Thursday 19 August, 2021

Goulburn-Murray Water (GMW) has launched its own podcast.

Talking Water with GMW aims to engage listeners on all things water, with some of the most interesting people across GMW and the water industry.

“The monthly podcast series will allow listeners to delve into topics without having to set aside time to read or watch a video,” GMW Customers and Stakeholders general manager Ann Telford said.

“With a focus on a specific theme or topic around water each month, the episodes will be available in digital form, free on a variety of platforms.”

The first episode features Northern Victoria Resource manager Dr Mark Bailey, who discusses water management and allocations.

Dr Bailey makes seasonal determinations for all of Northern Victorian regulated river systems, including the Goulburn, Broken, Campaspe, Loddon, Bullarook and Murray rivers.

He explains how these determinations are made and answers some of GMWs frequently asked questions about irrigation, water shares and allocations.

“We have a great guest list lined up for the rest of the year, with topics including Water 101, water ordering, water safety and recreational offerings at GMW storages and water diversions,” Ms Telford said.

To listen, visit the GMW website, or download them from Pod Bean or Google Podcasts.
