GMW customer service centres reopening to public

Goulburn-Murray Water (GMW) has announced its customer service centres will reopen to the public on Monday 18 January 2021.

In line with the Victorian Government’s current coronavirus (COVID-19) advice, offices will be operating with a reduced number of staff. The majority of GMW staff will continue to work from home.

GMW’s Tatura customer service centre at 40 Casey Street will reopen from Tuesday 19 January 2021, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8.00am – 4.45pm.

GMWs regional customer service centres will reopen from Monday 18 January 2021 from 9.00am to 4.00pm.

There will also be changes to the days our six regional offices are now open:

  • Cobram: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
  • Shepparton: Tuesday, Thursday
  • Kyabram: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
  • Rochester: Tuesday, Friday
  • Kerang: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
  • Pyramid Hill: Tuesday, Thursday

Visitors to GMW sites will be required to sign in and out – this can be done via a simple QR code process, or by signing a paper register.

GMW Managing Director Charmaine Quick said the organisation was looking forward to welcoming customers back to the office in a safe manner.

“We are proud to have maintained ‘business as usual’ with our staff working from home for nine months in 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic. We would like to thank our customers for their patience,” Ms Quick said.

“We have implemented a number of measures to ensure the safety of our customers and staff when on site at our customer service centres.

“Along with signing in and out for contact tracing purposes, we also have Perspex screens at our counters, physical distancing markers, and hand sanitiser available for use.”

GMW customers are also able to book an appointment at a customer service centre or an on-farm visit (in line with current COVID-19 guidelines) at www.gmwater.com.au/book. This is a tailored and fit for purpose service that puts you in touch with the right person at a time and location that suits.
