Blue-green algae warning removed for Yarrawonga Weir/Lake Mulwala

Goulburn Murray Water (GMW) has removed the blue-green algae warning for Yarrawonga Weir/Lake Mulwala, following a significant decline in blue-green algae levels.

GMW will continue to undertake water quality monitoring and if blue‑green algae reach levels deemed unsafe by national health guidelines, a warning will be issued.

Customers are reminded that water supplied by GMW is not suitable for human consumption without first being properly treated.

Warnings remain current for Lake Eppalock and the No.2 Lagoon in the Torrumbarry Irrigation Area.
