Goulburn-Murray Water has begun releasing water from Lake Boga to support irrigation demand and make room in the lake for inflows during winter and spring.
Releases from the lake will begin at 50 ML per day and potentially increase to 100 ML per day in the coming weeks.
Diverters who pump water from Lake Boga are encouraged to monitor water levels and move their pumps or extend suction lines to continue accessing water.
Boaters are encouraged to be cautious of hazards such as exposed vegetation and infrastructure in the lake as the water levels fall.
