GMW board welcomes five new members

Five new members have been appointed to the Board of Goulburn-Murray Water (GMW) - Victoria’s largest rural water corporation.

The new members are Justin Hanney, Rob McMillan, Sue Oddie, Liz Ryan and Paul Weller.

Mr Hanney has been appointed Chair. As the former CEO of Regional Development Victoria, the Rural City of Wangaratta and Director Planning at Greater Bendigo Mr Hanney has strong regional knowledge and ties.

They join continuing Board members Natalie Akers, Andrew Cooney, Larna Tarrant and Kris Peach AM.

GMW Managing Director Charmaine Quick welcomed the new members and thanked outgoing Chair Diane James AM, who joined the Board in 2018 as well as long-serving members Patrick McNamara AM, Jonathan Koop and David McKenzie.

“We thank Diane, Pat, Jonathan and David for their contribution, guidance and support during their time at Goulburn-Murray Water,” Ms Quick said.

“We look forward to the new members joining the Board and sharing their knowledge, insights and skills as we continue to address challenges and opportunities associated with climate change, shifting regulatory requirements, advances in technology and a rapidly changing landscape.”
