Form 50 - Request to restructure water services

Please use this form if you, or your clients, want to change the current structure of Water-Use Licences / Registrations and/or Delivery Shares. This includes subdivisions, amalgamations and boundary re-alignments, or in preparation for the sale of part of a property.

This form cannot be used to make any allocation trades - use form 39 on the Water Register website
This form cannot be used to restructure Work Licences - use forms 29 or 31 on the Water Register website

Before you start

Titles must be registered before commencing this process. Please attach new titles in this request.
The total of the new delivery share/s (ML/Day) must equal the amount of current delivery rate.
You need to consider how water will be physically delivered to the new property structure, eg. what outlets will be servicing each holding and if there are easements required for water delivery or access.
If the restructure is for a river diversion service you are required to complete the fields relating to extraction share. This information can be found on your General Place of Take Approval (GPT) Copy of Record.

The application process

If any information is missing in this application you will receive a letter requesting further information. If the information is not provided within the timeframe stipulated, your application will be rejected and you will be required to resubmit.
If this application is approved any water shares that are currently linked to the land described in this request, and have not been nominated to be linked to one of the new services, will no-longer be linked to this land.

Applicant Details

The Applicant is the person who is submitting the application to GMW, they are the main contact for that form submission and are responsible for the information being submitted and the coordination of e-signatures and payment of the application fee.

The Applicant may be a lodging party/ solicitor/ conveyancer/ water broker but can also be a new or existing customer submitting their own application form as the land owner.

If the property transferring includes a general place of take and/or extraction share, this will be included on the application form.
