The Loddon Valley Water Services Committee represents irrigation customers in the region surrounding Pyramid Hill. The area is bounded by Boort in the west, half way to Kerang in the north, Pyramid Hill in the east and down to Serpentine in the south.
GMW’s Loddon Valley customers primarily use water for permanent pasture and annual pasture.
The Loddon Valley WSC is chaired by John Nelson and consists of nine members in total.
The focus for the committee this year has been channel automation and its performance. As part of this, the Loddon Valley WSC has been involved in a large desilting program being undertaken in the region by GMW. There have been a number of benefits for customers with the new channel automation.
The Connections Project continues to be the main topic of interest for Loddon Valley customers, including when upgrades to current on-farm infrastructure will take place.
