This region:

  • Has 1,200 dairy farmers with 6,600 jobs and 308,000 cows
  • Produces 2 billion litres of milk each year worth $850 million
  • Produces 31% of Victoria's milk, and 21% of Australia's milk

This region:

  • Has 400,000 hectares of irrigated broadacre crops
  • Is worth $395 million a year
