About the program
Our Undergraduate Placement Program offers a fun, supportive, and professional environment where aspiring young professionals can gain real-world experience, build new skills, and make valuable industry connections.
The program is run over the summer university break (November to February) and is paid at $37.10 per hour, in line with our current Enterprise Agreement.

Eligibility
Applications are open to those in their penultimate year of university and hold full Australian Work Rights, Permanent Residents and Australian Citizens – This is verified during the recruitment process.
How to apply
Expressions of interest for our 2025-2026 Undergraduate Placement Program are now closed.
To apply for the program, please complete the Undergraduate Placement Student Expression of Interest form and email together with a copy of your current CV to recruitment@gmwater.com.au.
Recruitment process
- After submitting your expression of interest, we will be in touch by late August 2025 to coordinate an initial short ‘get to know you’ MS Teams interview.
- In-person site tours will be coordinated throughout September, so you have the opportunity to visit our workspace prior to your placement
- Commencement of the program aligns with your availability
- Police checks and validation of Australian working rights will be part of our pre-employment checks
