New working groups being formed

Goulburn-Murray Water has recently called for expressions of interest from our customers, communities and stakeholders to help us progress key projects arising from our Strategic Plan development.

Please note the application deadline to join our working groups has now passed.

We are currently working through these applications and more information will be posted on this page shortly with further details.

GMW’s role is to efficiently manage, store and deliver water to more than 21,000 active customers involved in a diverse range of enterprises and interests across northern Victoria.

We are in a challenging and changing environment that is set to continue in coming years, with changing climate and international markets impacting on our customers and GMW.

GMW has developed and is now implementing its Strategic Plan in response to these challenges, to ensure GMW remains sustainable now and into the foreseeable future. This includes ensuring water is delivered to customers at an affordable price and that deliveries are meeting the expected service standards.

Role of the working groups

The role of the 25-Year GMID Strategy working group will be to objectively provide input and advice to GMW about:

  • The future service needs of customers within the GMID;
  • Innovative capital and/or maintenance activities on GMW assets that will assist in reducing the future cost of maintaining and renewing the assets; and
  • The opportunities to optimise the extent and utilisation of assets within the GMID.

For more information read the group’s draft Terms of Reference.
