Water ballot results announced

Monday 16 October, 2006

Goulburn-Murray Water has today conducted a ballot to determine successful offers to "back trade" water from the Murray system downstream of Barmah (Zones 7 & 8) to the Goulburn system (Zone 1A & 1B).

A volume of 26,416.5 megalitres was sought by buyers, with 2,127 megalitres successfully traded.

Successful traders will have their offers to trade processed in the usual manner.

Once again the ballot was overseen by an independent auditor.

All unsuccessful trades arranged through a broker will be notified by their agent and Goulburn-Murray Water will directly notify private trade applicants.  All unsuccessful traders will have their application and transfer fees returned.

Customers may also view ballot results on the Goulburn-Murray Water website, http://www.g-mwater.com.au, or speak to a Goulburn-Murray Water Customer Care Officer on 1800 013 357.
