The community is invited to have input into development of a Land and On-Water Management Plan for Lake Buffalo and Lake William Hovell and participate in a number of community forums designed to develop a five year management Plan for both storages.
David Jackson, Goulburn-Murray Water Land and On-Water Manager said the Plans are being developed to protect the important values of both Lake Buffalo and Lake William Hovell and to create a program of strategies and actions to better manage the increasing demand on these storages and their foreshores.
"We encourage anyone with an interest in Lake Buffalo or Lake William Hovell to be involved as community ownership of the Plan is vital to its success. You can get involved by completing the online questionnaire, available from our website at www.g-mwater.com.au/lakebuffalo or www.g-mwater.com.au/lakewilliamhovell or by attending one of the community meetings held throughout May," said Mr Jackson.
