Groundwater observation holes drilled for Salt Interception Scheme

Friday 8 June, 2012

Drilling will start Tuesday 12 June on the 10 groundwater observation holes for the Mildura - Merbein Salt Interception Scheme refurbishment.

These bores will be used to monitor the saline groundwater levels during the next phase, which is to drill 5 new production bores. This phase is expected to start later this month.

Work will be around Lake Ranfurly, Apex Park, north of LMW's Mildura wastewater treatment plant, and the north western end of Flora Avenue.

Work sites will be sign posted, but residents are asked to be careful in these areas while drilling works are carried out.
