Goulburn-Murray Water today published its 2012/13 prices list which details all prices that will apply to groundwater, unregulated and regulated river diversions, pumped irrigation, channel delivery, drainage and water district services across northern Victoria for the 2012/13 year.
Goulburn-Murray Water Managing Director Gavin Hanlon said 2012/13 prices had a general increase of CPI plus 2% with some exceptions.
"A typical Goulburn-Murray Water customer will see a CPI plus 2% increase in their annual bill," Mr Hanlon said.
"There were some exceptions to this general rule, where targeted changes were required for specific tariffs or where previous discussions have occurred with individual customer groups," said Mr Hanlon.
"Our 2012/13 prices were approved by the Essential Services Commission a fortnight ago and the G-MW Board last week," Mr Hanlon said.
G-MW's website has pricing simulators available that allow customers to enter their own information and calculate an indication of their 2012/13 water bill based on the new prices.
G-MW will also mail newsletters to customers over the next week including the full price list.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission require G-MW to distribute the price list to all customers prior to the start of each season.
"G-MW has commenced the development of a new tariff strategy to guide future pricing. We are aiming to have the draft strategy complete in time to guide our next Water Plan for the years 2013 to 2016," Mr Hanlon said.
The G-MW price list and pricing simulators are available at www.g-mwater.com.au.
