From Monday, 16 January, customers in the Torrumbarry Irrigation Area will be able to provide input into Goulburn-Murray Water's (G-MWs) review of the Natural Carriers Rebate (Pumpers Rebate).
The Natural Carriers Rebate is unique to the Torrumbarry Irrigation Area and provides a financial rebate to approved customers who pump their irrigation supply from natural carriers or lakes within the Torrumbarry irrigation delivery system.
G-MW Manager, Modernised Irrigation Business, Kevin Preece said that G-MW, in consultation with the Torrumbarry Water Services Committee, has initiated the review as many of the initial aspects on which the rebate was first established have changed considerably.
The provision of this rebate is currently funded through water prices and is paid for by all Torrumbarry irrigation customers.
"G-MW would like to invite all Torrumbarry customers to provide input into this review. All input will ultimately assist in developing proposals for the future treatment of the rebate," Mr Preece said.
Customers are able to provide feedback to G-MW through a variety of ways:
All feedback must be provided by Friday 17 February 2012 to be used as input for the review.
"If any customers would like to learn more about the rebate or wish to discuss particular aspects of the rebate and review, G-MW staff will be available in G-MW's WaterWheels caravan during the second week of February." Mr Preece added.
