Irrigators and rural water users across Goulburn-Murray Water's (G-MW) service region have until this Friday to nominate to join their local G-MW Water Services Committee.
G-MW Chairman, Llew Vale said Water Services Committees were invaluable for their customer representation ensuring the views and experiences of all irrigation and other rural water customers were conveyed to the Board and G-MW to help inform policies and local operations in critical areas such as pricing, service standards and asset management.
"New members are very welcome, their energy and fresh ideas add value to our Water Services Committees and ensure the Committee's remain relevant, up-to-date and effective," said Mr Vale.
Customers can nominate for one of 32 positions available on 8 Water Services Committees to join a network of nearly 100 fellow Water Services Committee members.
Customers are encouraged to nominate or to encourage others to nominate, for a Water Services Committee position, so that a range of farming enterprises, skills, experiences and gender are represented.
