To assist with end of season planning, Goulburn-Murray Water (G-MW) customers on the Loddon, Broken and Bullarook regulated systems now have access to G-MW's new Carryover Simulator.
G-MW's Loddon, Broken and Bullarook simulator follows the success of the Goulburn, Campaspe and Murray simulator and aims to assist customers understanding of common carryover questions including:
- How much can I carryover?
- How much can I access from the start of next season?
- How will carryover impact on my new season allocations?
G-MW Acting Managing Director Shane McGrath said the Loddon, Broken and Bullarook system simulator was designed as a business tool to help customers with the key concepts of carryover and assist their planning.
"We released the Goulburn, Campaspe and Murray system simulator at this year's customer meetings, and based on its popularity we have now created one for the Loddon, Broken and Bullarook systems," said Mr McGrath.
"Carryover was introduced as a drought response tool and given the significant change in seasonal conditions its important customers consider carryover in the context of their broader farm business plans and seek advice from an experienced and trusted adviser," said Mr McGrath.
Mr McGrath warned that the simulators provided indications only and are not a substitute for professional advice.
"By providing our simulator online, customers can make use of it at any time to better understand carryover and further inform their decisions for their farm business," said Mr McGrath.
Customers who do not have internet access can contact or visit their local G-MW office and a staff member will walk them through the simulator.
The simulator is available at www.g-mwater.com.au/blbcarryoversimulator.
Users are reminded they need to enter a whole number of zero or greater into the input fields.
