an upgrade to their groundwater or unregulated surface
water licence to accurately reflect dairy shed water usage, or

Developing water pricing for 2010/2011
G-MW has submitted an amendment to its revenue requirements for
the next three years. G-MW is proposing a total revenue increase of
$5.5 million or 2% through to 2012/13 from its previously approved
2008 total revenue requirement. The amendment will now be
scrutinised by the Essential Services Commission (ESC). Until the
ESC makes its determination, the revenue requirement is not
confirmed. You can have your say by discussing the submission with
your local customer committee representative, or you can participate
in the ESC's independent consultation processes that will take place
over coming months.
G-MW's submission is available from the ESC website http://www.esc.vic.gov.au/public/Water/Consultations/

algae for the Murray River has been updated on the 23rd
February 2010 and now extends from Hume Dam to Barham,
including Lake Mulwala. The response to the outbreak in the
Murray River is being coordinated by the Murral Regional Algal
Coordinating Committee which ensures a coordinated response across
Murray states. For latest updates visit the MRACC website at http://www.water.nsw.gov.au/Water-Management/Water-quality/Algal-information/default.aspx.
The algae levels will continue to be monitored and updates
will be provided via media and this website

Central Goulburn
Please check and clean your on-farm channels and drains to ensure
that they are capable of taking your ordered flows. Having your
on-farm channels ready to take the correct flows will help G-MW
deliver your order during the expected increase in demand in
autumn. Please contact the Central Goulburn Office on 58 335 705 if
you have any queries on this matter.

Murray Valley
Please ensure you begin planning your winter water requirements
and have enough storage for your needs. The winter works program
will see a large number of automatic regulators installed in Murray
Valley this year and requires many channels to be dewatered.
Channels that previously held some water over the winter period may
need to be completely drained this winter to allow works to proceed.

Torrumbarry
Customers are asked to take precautions when using water due to
the outbreaks of Blue Green Algae (BGA) along the National Channel
and Taylor's Creek. BGA is being drawn into the Torrumbarry
system from the River Murray and is likely to move further through
the channel system. For further information phone the BGA hotline on
5833 5578. Click
here for the recommended precautions.
Temporary Domestic & Stock (D&S) arrangements - if
customers have written authority from G-MW for a temporary D&S
supply and have ceased using it, please remove pumps and
connections from the channel. If you believe the temporary
arrangement is a good longer term option, contact your Planner via
WaterLINE 1300 469 469 and formalise the requirement. By not
