Central Goulburn
Customers in close proximity to the Girgarre evaporation basin may have noticed some odours coming from the basin. This is due to the drying of one of the evaporation pans. G-MW has undertaken remedial work to reduce the odour and have written to landowners directly adjoining the basin informing them of the issue. If you require further information please contact Paul Cox at the G-MW Central Goulburn office on 58 355 705.

The Torrumbarry Area has delivered 59,000 ML in the 09/10 season but irrigators have 196,000 ML allocated but yet to be delivered. With such a large volume of water yet to be delivered, G-MW is asking customers to discuss their intended irrigation plans so we can begin our autumn preparations and ensure that all deliveries can be made.
There has been an increase in the amount of channel bank damage caused by cattle in the Torrumbarry area. Customers are responsible for any damage caused by livestock. Groundwater
As of 1 July 2009 local management rules have been implemented in the Mid-Loddon Groundwater Management Area. These rules provide a robust framework for the management of Mid-Loddon groundwater, meaning there is now no need for a management plan to be developed or for a Water Supply Protection Area (WSPA) to remain in place. The permanent transfer of groundwater entitlement is now available and allows scope for future groundwater development to occur. Customers in the Mid Loddon area will receive letters shortly explaining the new arrangements and confirming that following the abolition of the WSPA, permanent trading rules can now take effect.
