Required Notice for Ordering Water
Four full days of notice is required for each water order placed. This improves channel supply efficiency and reduces system losses and the number of adjustments required at regulators.
It is important to remember that the day that an order is placed is not counted as part of the four days notice, so there is no difference between placing an order at 7.00 am or 11.00 pm on the same day.
If customers want water on a Friday, then they need to order before midnight on the preceding Monday.
Think of it as ordering water for three days after tomorrow.
Priority is given to orders placed with the correct notice.
