Understanding your G-MW Water Accounts

G-MW has developed the pricing simulators to help you estimate and understand the fees and charges that may apply for your water services. These may include a combination of water storage, diversion, delivery and drainage services. Pricing for 2012/13 is yet to be developed, however you can still estimate any fees and charges that may apply by using 2011/12 prices within the simulators. You can also compare your 2011/12 and 2010/11 accounts.

While the pricing simulator is designed to give you an indication of prices that apply to your combination of services based on 2011/12 pricing, it does not represent or display all the services that G-MW offers and cannot be relied upon to provide a definitive cost calculation in each case.

 
Before you start - The simulator asks you to enter information from your 2010/11 Fixed Water Charges account (this account was issued in August 2010) and/or your Consumptive Water Charges account (renamed Variable Charges Account - for Irrigation Area, Pumped Districts and some Water District customers) which are issued at the end of the season.

 

What if I don't have a copy of my account?
If would like a replacement copy of an account that has already been issued, contact your local G-MW office or phone 1800 013 357 (Monday to Friday between 8.00am and 4.45pm) and a replacement copy can be provided free of charge.

Irrigation Area Customers

Customers who have their water delivered via the Goulburn or Murray channel networks in the Murray Valley, Shepparton, Central Goulburn, Campaspe, Rochester, Loddon Valley and Torrumbarry Irrigation Areas (There is a separate simulator for customers in Tyntynder part of Torrumbarry).

Pumped Irrigation District Customers

Customers in the Nyah, Tresco and Woorinen pumped irrigation districts. G-MW delivers water to these customers through dedicated piped supply networks.

Groundwater Customers

Groundwater users in the areas of Lower Campaspe Valley (Campaspe), Katunga, Loddon Highlands (Mid Loddon, Spring Hill and Upper Loddon), Kinglake, Mid Goulburn, Upper Ovens, Lower Ovens, Shepparton Irrigation Area or other.

River Diversion Customers

Diversions customers on unregulated supply who are reliant on rainfall, spring activity for stream flows in the Murray, Ovens, Broken, Goulburn, Campaspe, Loddon and Bullarook catchments, as well as off stream dam fills.

Diversions customers on regulated supply - customers who have their supply regulated through releases from a G-MW managed storages such as Dartmouth, Eildon, Newlyn, Cairn Curran, Eppalock and Nillahcootie in the Murray, Ovens, King, Broken, Goulburn, Loddon or Bullarook systems, as well as off stream dam fills.

Water Districts Customers

Domestic and Stock customers in the Tungamah, Normanville, East Loddon and West Loddon areas. Customers who receive domestic and stock supplies through dedicated supply networks that are piped or open channels.

Non-Delivery Customers

Customers who own water shares which have no links to an irrigation area (including environmental water share owners).

Customers who own water shares that are no longer associated with land as the result of a land dealing, but remain associated to an irrigation area

The pricing simulator is designed to provide an indicative guide to pricing comparisons between the 2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons.

While the pricing simulator is designed to give you an indication of 2011/12 prices that will apply to your combination of services, it does not represent or display all the services that G-MW offers and cannot be relied upon to provide a definitive cost calculation in each case. Every G-MW customer has a different combination of services and therefore individual circumstances will vary and must be taken into account.

All prices for 2011/12 are based on the prices approved by the Essential Services Commission and the G-MW Board. These prices include a Consumer Price Index rate of 3.3%.
