1. Licence to take and use groundwater and operate works

Application for a new or amended Licence to Take and Use Groundwater / Operate Works

2. Transfer (trade) a licence to take and use groundwater to another location

3. Licence to construct, alter or decommission works (bore/s)

Applications to construct domestic, stock, investigation, observation or monitoring bores can now be made online through My Water.

Online applications for a Bore Construction Licence are significantly cheaper than applying over the counter. For a flat rate you can apply for up to 20 investigation and observation bores.

To apply online for a Bore Construction Licence, go to the Victorian Water Register website (this will open an external website in a new window)

Customers can still apply for Bore Construction Licences over the counter but higher application fees apply to cover administration costs, and licences cannot be issued immediately.
