Employment Application Guidelines

Your application provides us with a picture of who you are, and is the tool used to determine if you will be interviewed for a position.

Each application sent to Goulburn-Murray Water should have three parts.  An introductory letter, address to the Key Selection Criteria and your Resume. As a guide, those documents should contain the following:

Introductory Letter

Introduce yourself and briefly outline why you are interested in the Position.

Address to the Key Selection Criteria

Each advertised vacancy with Goulburn-Murray Water will have a Position Description available.  Within the Position Description is the Key Selection Criteria.  We suggest you address each of the specified criteria individually, with a brief paragraph and examples outlining your relevant experience or qualifications showing how you meet each criterion.

Your Resume

Please ensure you attach an up to date Resume to your application.  Your Resume should include your employment experience, education and training and referee contact details.  Any certificates or qualifications attached should be copies only, as applications are not returned.

Additional Information

Your application must be received by the Human Resources by close of business on the final date for applications as specified in each advertisement.  We can not guarantee that late applications will be accepted.

All applications will be acknowledged, either by email or by post.  You will be notified in due course if you have been selected for an interview.

If you require further technical information with regard to the position, there is a contact name within the advertisement for further information.  Please obtain a Position Description first, as this often answers many questions.
